Calaveras County Planning Commission Back in Action Thursday Morning with A Light Agenda

San Andreas, CA....The Calaveras County Planning Commission is back in action Thursday morning at 9am. There are some Public Hearings scheduled. CALAVERAS COUNTY MISSION STATEMENT
The Mission of Calaveras County Government is to provide service, infrastructure,
leadership, and vision necessary to advance a safe community, maintain a high quality
of life, while preserving local history and culture, and to protect personal liberties for all
of its citizens.
Pursuant to Government Code 65009, a legal challenge to any of the
projects described below may be limited to addressing only those issues
raised at the public hearing or in written correspondence delivered to the
Planning Commission at or prior to the public hearing.
Application(s), environmental documents, staff reports, and project files are available for
review at the Calaveras County Community Development Agency, Monday through
Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., except County holidays. Copies of the project file, staff
report, and/or environmental documents may also be purchased. Staff reports for each
item will be available for public review posted to the County’s website at
www.co.calaveras.us.ca.
Planning Commission decisions can be appealed to the Board of Supervisors. Appeals
must be filed with the Board Clerk within fifteen (15) days of this hearing. For more
information, contact the Board Clerk's Office At 209-754-6370.
The commission may adjourn for lunch at 11:30 a.m.

C. PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD:
The public may address the Planning Commission on land use issues not on
the agenda. Five minutes per person, fifteen minutes per topic. (The
Planning Commission shall not take action on any items presented under this
Public Comment Period).

1. APPROVAL of MINUTES from the June 19, 2008, Planning Commission
Meeting.

E. PUBLIC HEARINGS:
1. 2008-020 CEQA Review of Grading Plan for SR 4 Bypass Overburden
Disposal Site for Teichert Construction. The applicant has applied for
a grading permit from Public Works for the disposal of approximately
270,000 cubic yards of excess overburden material to be produced
from the construction of the SR 4 Bypass. CEQA review is required
due to the volume of material and Community Development Agency is
recommending certification of a Mitigated Negative Declaration. The
property is located on the north slope of Bald Hill, about 0.6 mile
northeasterly of the intersection of SR 49 and Murphys Grade Road
north of the City of Angels Camp. The project study area, including
haul roads, encompasses 10.86 ± acres within a total of 152.30 ±
acres included within two parcels. APNs 057-020-007 and 057-020-
031 (formerly designated as 057-020-006) are a portion of the NE ¼ of
Section 28 in Township 3 North, Range 13 East, MDM.
2. 2006-031 Planned Development Permit for Norried Family Properties,
Llp., Submitted By New Hogan Community Investors. The applicants
are requesting a Planned Development Permit for a ± 13.75 acre
commercial shopping center on a ± 24 acre site located within the C2-
PD (General Commercial-Planned Development) zoning district. The
project site is located on the south side of Highway 26, approximately
one-half mile from the intersection of Highway 26 and Highway 12 in
the town of Valley Springs. (APNs 046-001-069 and 46-005-008,
being within a portion of Section 26, Township 4 North, Range 10 East,
MDM).
