Speaking of politics and sports, the Golden State Warriors are stepping up to help recruit underage vaccinees. Maybe some parents got the e-mail, too? Or not. Here’s the invitation to minors directly from CA State Superintendent of Public Indoctrination, Tony Thurmond:
Teen Talk – State Superintendent Tony Thurmond Brings Together Youth Voices to Discuss Vaccine Awareness and Safe Back-to-School (July 21, 2021, 3 p.m.)
Calling all youth between the ages of 12 to 17! You’re invited to join teens from across California for a virtual meeting to discuss hot issues that are on their minds as they prepare for a safe return to campus this fall.
This Zoom event will be streamed on CDE Facebook Live and Instagram Live and will be moderated by the 2021–22 incoming State Board of Education Student Board Member, Rana Banankhah, who will be joined by several other California student leaders as co-facilitators. The event will feature remarks by State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond as well as include a specially recorded message from several of the Golden State Warriors basketball players.
A limited number of randomly selected vaccinated or soon-to-be vaccinated students who pre-register by July 20, 2021, at noon will be eligible to receive prizes generously donated by the Golden State Warriors basketball team. We encourage students ages 12–17 to register early to be a part of this important conversation or tune in at @cadepted.
