Chamber of Commerce to Celebrate National Cowboy Day...A Few Tickets Still Available at The Door!!!
Angels Camp, CA....Get Your Tickets at the Door!! The U.S. Senate has declared Saturday, July 26th, 2008 as the National Day of the American Cowboy. Since cowboys are such an important part of the history and heritage of Calaveras County, the Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce will be celebrating the cowboy with a Barbecue Dinner and Dance on the National Day of the American Cowboy.....
The Dinner Dance will be held on Saturday, July 26th starting at 5:30. It will be in the beautiful outside Beer Garden at Frogtown in Angels Camp. Beef, of course, will be served for dinner and will be cooked by the Cattlemen's Association of Calaveras County. The California Outlaws, a local country western band, will play starting at 7:00 pm.
Local ranching families have been invited to bring their brands and we will brand the fence at Frogtown commemorating the National Day of the American Cowboy for 2008.
Special awards will be given during the evening for the Cutest Cowgirl and Best Wranglers and other fun contests.
Tickets are on sale at the Chamber of Commerce offices in Angels Camp and Valley Springs, or Turners Wild West in Angels Camp, Spence RanchFeed & Supply in Angels Camp or Country Feed and More in San Andreas.
Tickets are $35.00 but are discounted to $25.00 for ranchers and cowboys.
