A Bit of Wisdom from C.S. Lewis on his Birthday

“If you look for truth, you may find comfort in the end; if you look for comfort you will not get either comfort or truth only soft soap and wishful thinking to begin, and in the end, despair.” ~ C. S. Lewis, 29 November 1898 – 22 November 1963

You can't handle the truth
Posted on: 2021-11-30 07:05:48   By: Anonymous

Wanted to be the first to say it.
Deeply divided country/state/county. Take your pick.
Those that know.
Those that don't know.
Those that think they know.
Tough to choose a side.

Please everyone, you must get vaccinated. Our racist President is stopping flights from many countries in Africa. Why the media isn't screaming about the racism is baffling.
Especially since this variant of COVID is so dangerous!!! If you haven't heard these symptoms are said to be....very mild.
So please, follow the science We have to get the unvaccinated vaccinated to
protect the vaccinated from the unvaccinated which the vaccinated should
already be protected from the virus because they were vaccinated which
the scientists say will protect you from the virus because you were vaccinated but we still need the unvaccinated to be vaccinated to protect the
vaccinated because the vaccinated can still be infected from the unvaccinated~ Dr Fauci, AKA God

Yet you're willing to listen to the smartest guy(AKA Trump)instead of a scientist with 40+ years experience.
      AKA dotards.

Nothing to do with racism, though amusing the GOP would pull that card. Shall we just open our gates to the world and a variant of COVID yet again? If we've learned anything, it's how important to monitor and address early in transmission - unlike the former president who sat on it for two months so the economy wouldn't take on his watch.

Tell you what? When my car needs quality work, I'll go to a trusted mechanic. When I need medical advice, I'll trust my doctor and the professional medical community over a bunch of loud mouth politicians - and parents - looking for their 5 minutes of fame.

Truth and Justice, Two words that are not in the vocabulary of the Left Cult
Posted on: 2021-11-30 07:23:46   By: Anonymous

I'll take the lesser of two evils and distance myself from the Cult of the left. God, Law and Order over corruption of the liberal media and the Socialist party who always seem to point their fingers and screaming for wrongs that the accuser is actually doing.
Here's a perfect example from our SENILE Bumbling Biden.

"President Biden imposed a travel ban on several African countries in the wake of the new strain of the coronavirus, the omicron variant, despite calling his predecessor "racist" and "xenophobic" for imposing his own travel restrictions - a flashback the media has largely ignored

In 2017, then-President Trump imposed travel restrictions on six predominantly Muslim countries over concerns of improper vetting. Liberal media often referred to it as the "Muslim ban." When Covid began spreading throughout the world at the beginning of 2020, Trump would then block travel from China and six other countries, including Eritrea, Kyrgyzstan, Myanmar, Nigeria, Sudan and Tanzania. Biden, a presidential candidate at the time, suggested Trump's actions were "xenophobic."

"We are in the midst of a crisis with the coronavirus," Biden tweeted the day after Trump imposed travel restrictions from China into the U.S. "We need to lead the way with science - not Donald Trump’s record of hysteria, xenophobia, and fear-mongering. He is the worst possible person to lead our country through a global health emergency."

The facts do not support your statement. Although people like you who likely choose not to get vaccinated are in great part responsible for the virus's continued spread. Funny/not funny to see those Angels parents rejecting a vaccinate mandate so their "kids can breathe" while more than a few high school sports teams have not been able to play due to the high level of COVID taking them out.

What's especially amusing is this quote is from a Christian academic who at one time fell away from his faith but found his way back, understanding that an intelligent, thoughtful person could balance both God and science. It's a shame that some in Calaveras are so dug in to black and white thinking that others in the community continue to die.
