Post 1/2-hour updates until the the outcome is insight. Hanna Alldrin our embedded fire reporter is on scene now and we will have additional photos and updates posted soon...

UPDATE #2...According to Lisa Williams of CAL Fire, the fire still remains at 60-70 acres in size and does have to burn. It is moving in a Northerly direction towards the Tuttletown area. There are no structures immediately threatened.

UPDATE #3....5:30pm....Lisa Williams has said that the fire has now spread to 100 acres. The structure that burned is a storage container. It has now crossed Mormon Creek.

UPDATE #4...6pm....Still at 100 acres. Now there are 200 structures threatened, some of those are historical buildings. No confirmed evacuations at this time. Two C130's from the national guard came to the fire and helped fire crews by dropping a much larger fire retardant drop compared to your regular size tankers. Right know they have three tankers and three helicopters fighting the fire from above!

UPDATE #5...7:20pm..Still at 100 acres and they have slowed it's spread. No containment estimates. According to Lisa Williams of CAL-FIRE there almost 250 personnel, 29 engines and much more on scene. On an interesting note she also said that there are 4 National Guard C130 Cargo planes working this fire as well. Each one can drop 3,000 lbs of retardant. These planes are working out of McClellan.

UPDATE #6....8:38pm...Fire 60% contained at 102 acres total. They expect full containment by 10pm this evening. There was one home damaged. Unsure of extent. No other structures at risk. Great job fire crews! According to CAL Fire's Lisa Willias, cause is undetermined.
