Happy Dr Martin Luther King Day
Dr King marched in Birmingham, Al for civil rights, especially voting rights.
Today we are seeing voting rights under attack in 17 states, in these states, the Republicans have changed their voting laws to surgically reduce the voting of Seniors, minorities and students. This is an attack on Democracy, to all Americans, a our Congress would be not formed by voting, but a political party, whose main donors are Billionaires- a bought Congress. This is outright bribery.
The comments on TPT are many times vulgar, and racist.
Does this reflect on the majority in our area?
The attack on what is good , true, fair seems to be the aim for some.
This is a sad .
A sick cult for political gain is damaging to a society.
In many countries, the same use of racism, lies, has destroyed their Democracies.
Is America to follow this trend?
The main similarities in all the cases where Democracies are being attacked, is a few Billionaires buy up all the media and push their racism and lies, diving the country, under siege the population only hearing the lies then in elections votes the anti Democracy candidates into office, they then gut their justice, and governmental systems, and become autocracies.
I am seeing this in America.
