Trump campaign officials, led by Rudy Giuliani, oversaw efforts in December 2020 to put forward illegitimate electors from seven states that Trump lost, according to three sources with direct knowledge of the scheme.
The sources said members of former President Donald Trump's campaign team were far more involved than previously known in the plan, a core tenet of the broader plot to overturn President Joe Biden's victory when Congress counted the electoral votes on January 6.
Giuliani and his allies coordinated the nuts-and-bolts of the process on a state-by-state level, the sources told CNN. One source said there were multiple planning calls between Trump campaign officials and GOP state operatives, and that Giuliani participated in at least one call. The source also said the Trump campaign lined up supporters to fill elector slots, secured meeting rooms in statehouses for the fake electors to meet on December 14, 2020, and circulated drafts of fake certificates that were ultimately sent to the National Archives.
Trump and some of his top advisers publicly encouraged the "alternate electors" scheme in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, Arizona, Wisconsin, Nevada and New Mexico. But behind the scenes, Giuliani and Trump campaign officials actively choreographed the process, the sources said.
One fake elector from Michigan boasted at a recent event hosted by a local Republican organization that the Trump campaign directed the entire operation.
"We fought to seat the electors. The Trump campaign asked us to do that," Meshawn Maddock, co-chair of the Michigan Republican Party, said at a public event last week that was organized by the conservative group Stand Up Michigan,

That's not really a thing. ONly he thought it was. Wouldn't have held up... and the optics were terrible. In essence, saying "I committed crimes. But I pardon myself." Coming off two impeachments, we couldn't have survived that.

No, actually he's not. Those fake electors met in each of those states and actually sent fake, fraudulent certificates to Congress. I believe those fake certificates are now possessed by the national archives.
This was outright election fraud, no doubt about it. The paperwork is all there should AG Garland choose to prosecute.

The really funny part of this is that Trump totally stiffed Rudy for all his legal fees related to all Rudy's failed election fraud cases.
Just as Trump stiffed all the violent protesters of January 6th by not granting them all pardons for their actions on that day. Now they're all being convicted, several to 5 or 6 years in prison.
Any supporter who buys into Trump's BS is a complete fool, a total sucker. In fact if you wear one of those red MAGA hats you might as well be wearing a red hat that says 'dumb sucker(f).'

Democrats just lost the most support in one year in Gallup poll history.
In the first quarter of 2021, about 49% of Americans identified with or leaned toward the Democratic Party, compared with just 40% for the Republican Party. By the fourth quarter, that advantage had been completely lost, with 47% of Americans surveyed identifying with or leaning toward the GOP, and just 42% of Americans identifying as Democrats.
That’s a swing of 14 points in just one year, the largest shift Gallup has seen in its 30 years of polling.
The change in numbers, Gallup noted, aligned closely with a downward trend in President Biden’s popularity.
