Don A. McCalley of Arnold has Passed Away~From Dory Willer
Here is some information of one of your readers who thoroughly enjoyed your online local news publication and read ThePineTree.net every day. I sometimes read stories from it to him while he was in the hospital these past couple of months. Don A. McCalley passed away July 7, 1924~July 22, 2008. Don was 84 years old, lived in Arnold (Blue Lake Springs) for the past 28 years. Don Died of a respiratory illness and took his last breath while his wife Mary of 32 years....
was holding his hand. Retired from Safeway Stores, Inc. Supply Corporate Office as a Controller/Purchasing Manager for the Brookside Division after 36 years of service. Enjoyed 28 great years retired in Arnold where there was never a bad day because there was fishing and golfing. Main interest was when and where the fish were planted.
Survived by wife Mary and son Ross McCalley (wife Kathy), Jack Gouge, daughters Jan Frey, Linda Kircher, and Dory Willer (husband Jeff). Seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Moved to Brentwood last month for medical care, but heart belonged in those Big Trees. No memorial services. Condolences may be sent to Mary McCalley 594 Quindell Way, Brentwood, CA 94513 or at dammm@comcast.net.
