We should start mounting their photos on a wall of shame, maybe in the Lube Room. Let their irresponsible behavior and lack of regard for local resources be forever immortalized.

SIGNAGE NEEDS TO BE CHANGED
Posted on: 2022-06-30 15:09:21   By: Anonymous

The GPS does not know whether you are driving a car or big rig. Signs should say NO - NO BIG RIGS!!! Or some sort of wording to make them realize NOT to continue on and the sign need to be posted a few times along Hwy 4 so they can turn around. This is the second or third one since the pass has opened.

I believe that there are still road signs on Eastbound 4 in the vicinity of Upper Arnold Byway / Upper Moran Road stating something to the effect: "Tractor-trailers over X feet kingpin to rear axle prohibited X miles ahead". That is supposed to get a driver's attention. I am assuming that on the East side of the Pass heading Westbound that there is similar signage.

The signage at topaz (395) and hiway (4) states 28 feet maximin length. My travel trailer is 26 feet and it is not safe to navigate those switchbacks!! Scary indeed!

Idiots with travel trailers and too-big motor homes need to be kept off the pass as well.
