Hwy 4 Over Ebbetts Pass Reopens After Caltrans Clears Mudslides

Bear Valley, CA...State Route 4 Ebbetts Pass was closed last night due to several mudslides caused by heavy thunderstorm activity. Caltrans, District 10 crews worked into the night to clear the mud and debris and were able to reopen around 12:30 a.m. today.




Thunderstorms are predicted to continue through the day, so crews will be monitoring the area and are prepared to respond to any issues.

    Yes thank you! They never get the credit they deserve. Working all night clearing mud slides, clearing the highways of snow, closing and manning roads due to wildfires just to name a few.
