The hard physical, longer hours, life shortening, dangerous and high likelihood of disability or death jobs should all be paid accordingly. Jobs no one wants to do? That is only because they are unfairly not paid enough for what they have to physically do.
You want to eat? Have law enforcement ? Medical workers? We had better increase these wages far above what they are so our own American workers can be compensated for the toll on their lives and families.

But is is the marketplace that creates all wealth that is able to pay these people. The moment and we are close that the number of non-market facing jobs outnumber market facing jobs we are done as a country.
People in non-market facing jobs just have no real idea how economies work.
That Washington DC is the highest income metro in the US should tell you everything you need to know.
