The Clouds Parted & Crowds Filled Murphys on Irish Day!

Murphys, CA...The Luck of the Irish was on display today in Murphys for Irish Day. Crowd estimates are hard to do but it is not unreasonable to think that judging by the photos below there were 10 - 12 thousand people today in Murphys. It was a nice shot in the arm that many local businesses needed after the recent storms had depressed sales a bit. The next month is our favorite time of the year here locally. You can ski, golf, wine taste, mountain bike and even go for a boat ride & all on the same day if you would like! We have over thousand photos & lots of video in the can and should have them up tomorrow.

Apparently the market is falling apart as fast as Joeys health. And usa dollar is worthless yet? It’s Trumps fault. Pathetic reimagined liberal democracy is an embarrassment. He warned us that he was just in the way.

Inflation/realignment/recession all a natural process. What market exactly to which you speak? Doubtful you're heavily invested and the stock market's always risky. Jobs including new ones at an all time high.

Yeah, the good old days when it was much quieter, less traffic, Gavin's restaurant, Buggy Bill, One Eyed Dan, Ruppey watering down the hard liquor at the Nugget. Flatlanders suck bumper stickers.

It had its charm, for sure. The small stores are lovely but what's lost is when most of a town's tasting rooms are on one main street. Unlike Sonoma and Napa Counties where one actually visits wineries separated by acreage. It's not wine tasting in Murphys but a bar crawl.

I haven't been down town in a few years now, it really doesn't hold anything to draw my interest. Bars, wine tasting, how many of the wine tasting rooms now? A few restaurants might but even Hillbillies where Gavin's is gone and now is kind of high priced. It's not a problem of affording it, but $20 for bacon and 2 eggs? No thx, but I miss the frog legs.
New BBQ joint next to old Vern's, weekend sandwich is something like $22
        I guess that's bidenflation. Oh wait, that's Trump's Fault

Yep, sadly Murphys has become a never ending bar crawl. And this event just gives all the tourists a chance to get drunk, and it is ok for them to to crawl the streets. Nothing as ugly as lots of drunk women making complete fools of themselves in front of the hordes. Irish Day has made downtown Murphys into a mecca for too many tourists in one small area! No safety concerns at all, just so hordes can come here and drink all day and night. Are you proud Murphys? This used to be a nice town, not a hang out for drunks. Ugly picture every year! It is all about the drinking dollar.

Completely missing the point, no surprise. Murphys used to be a nice community until the Community Club started pushing mass mob events like Irish Day and the equally out of control Grape Stomp. It seems like everything also changed when 22 wineries popped up in a tiny downtown. Long time locals have seen the mess that has become the weekend mobs. Sure, the merchants love it, tossing a blind eye to the ugly picture that has become downtown. There are far nicer downtowns elsewhere that have not resorted to sucking tourists in by increasing their drinking venues! Murphys has lost its original appeal, and they do not seem to even care. Mob events are their new claim to fame, sadly.

Please don't forget to give credit to the Murphys Business Association. Goes to show what happens to a nice community when the sole welfare of business interests and $ are the primary motivating factors.
On the upside, should you own a home here, it's worth more as part of this theme park than as a single family home.

Equally guilty is the Murphys Business Association. What was once a classy town has become a mecca for weekend drinking mobs! It is all about the money now that these mobs spend on booze. And here comes warm weather again, and the town gets trashy every weekend. There is a good reason why locals avoid downtown on weekends. But it is no longer about ambience and small town feel. Bring on the out of towners and their rudeness. It is ok with the 2 organizations that are no longer interested in class, just money!

AMAZING FACTS ABOUT STUPID PEOPLE FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY
Posted on: 2023-03-19 06:29:25   By: Anonymous

Facts are facts, no getting around that, is there?

"Eleven U.S. cities rank among the 50 most dangerous in the world, according to a recent report published by Numbeo, a global quality of life database. All 11 are governed by Democratic mayors.

Three U.S. cities — Baltimore, Memphis and Detroit — are ranked among the 20 most dangerous cities on the planet."

The above is a FACT it's undeniable, it's as true as Biden's family has had business dealings with Russia, and as true as the Bank of America's statement records proving the Biden family's business in China in which it shows over One Million Dollars in payments, but the ignorant people, and we have plenty of those will just deny deny deny. Like a little kid who put his fingers in his ear and blabbers nonsense so as not to hear. Then they, like our President, will point their finger and say, "It's Trump's Fault" Just like they've done with Putin's invasion of Ukraine, the Debacle of Afghanistan, the deaths of 13 US Military and over 3 Dozen critical wounded, the high cost of oil, inflation, energy cost, our open borders, drug overdoses, high cost of groceries, train derailments, major banks failures. All of these, every...single...one...the Democrats pointed their crooked, ignorant finger and said "It's Trump's Fault" and it must be a Fact that the most Ignorant, Bigoted, Easiest Manipulated, Imbeciles in America, keep Believing that "It's Trump's Fault"
It's amazing that in this day and age that there are so many people in America as dumb, and ignorant as these people. It's amazing that they even know how to drink water let alone feed themselves, isn't it? Maybe that's why they're the ones who commit the majority of crime in the USA because many of them have no idea how to get a job and earn their own money? Another reason they love the idea of socialism, believing in a politician who offers them something for free Free FREEEEEEEE.
This should all be in AMAZING FACTS ABOUT STUPID PEOPLE.

Perfect example why people have had enough, prosecutors, FBI DOJ all going after ONE political party's members just like a Communist GOVERNMENT does. These DA's and prosecutors let the Left violent criminals go, and that's why 11 out of 50 most dangerous cities on the planet are all run by dumpacraps

"Former President Bill Clinton paid Paula Jones a whopping $850,000 to keep her quiet over sexual harassment claims — but was never arrested for it."

"The case stands in stark contrast to reports that former President Donald Trump will be arrested on Tuesday for an alleged $130,000 hush money payment made to porn star Stormy Daniels in 2016 over an alleged sexual encounter that the two had in 2006."
