Miss Josie is Yours to Take Home!
San Andreas, CA...May we introduce Miss Josie? She is a spayed female German Shepherd Dog mix, estimated to be about 16 months young and weighing 69 pounds. Josie is one of the most beautiful dogs to pass through our portals. You can see she won our photographer’s heart!
Josie has just completed 6 weeks of daily classes at Twin Cedars Canine with Margaret Blair, and we really see a difference. She is much calmer and now, will sit on command and walk on a loose leash.
Josie is also an affectionate girl. She likes all the dogs she has met at the shelter, and they bring out her joy. She enjoys her playdates. A meet ’n greet is required if you have another dog.
NOTE: It is mandatory for Josie to be well contained. She will scale an 8-foot fence if lonely. She is a high energy dog who will need lots of exercise and activity. She will juggle and chase the ball. She sits for treats.
Josie is an interesting mix. Her DNA test shows 82% GSD, 6 % Malinois, 3% White Swiss shepherd, 2 % Collie, 2% Australian shepherd, 3 % Chow & 2% Akita
Adoption fees include spay/neuter, a microchip and vaccines, including rabies.

All pets available for adoption at the Calaveras Animal Shelter are up-to-date on their routine vaccinations and will be microchipped. All unaltered cats and dogs must be spayed or neutered before they can go home with you.
Animal Services now has a Fee Flexibility Program!
When the dog or cat population at the shelter is at 80% or above capacity, the total adoption fee will be 50% off––reduced to $40 for dogs and $30 for cats. The adoption fee for cats who arrive at the shelter already altered will be $10. With the 55-5-5 Program, any time an adopter is 55 or older and adopts any pet over 5 years old, the adoption fee is $5.

I'd adopt Miss Josie, but i'm flat out of money. You see, I'm a Calaveras Republican, and I sent all my money to Mr. Trump for his re-election campaign and to buy one of his bibles. He's swell, and I love to send him my money. Gullible idiot??? I am not!!!

I can't get Josie cuz I spent all my money on them there TruthSocial stocks and bonds. Ima gonna get rich cuz Don is a gureatt business person and has never gone bankerupt. My broker just called and sez the stocks are down 20% today. Whut duz that meen?
