Over 4,000 PG&E Customers Remain Powerless Saturday
Arnold, CA...As of this morning the widespread outage in the Arnold area remains. PG&E is reporting the cause as an equipment issue and has pushed back the estimated restoral time from 9pm last night to 6pm tonight. On a positive note many businesses now have generators for such a time as this so many of the stores will be open today.

PG&E Unreliable

PG&E continues to be an unreliable power source for the Arnold area.
It doesn't matter which season it is. Winter outages are an occurrence understood, but the last year PG&E has become a very unreliable power source.
After all the explanations for rising costs to customers, usually a reliable safe power source just doesn't match what the customers are experiencing.
Yet PG&E along with the 2 other large utilities are raising rates, and attacking solar, wind, and battery storage of power individuals have to create a more reliable power source. The CaPUC is onboard with these attacks customers on clean renewable power customers had roof top solar, schools, apartment buildings, even farmers.
It's time to return the power we get from the sun, wind, etc to the people, not steal it with utility greed schemes.

They need to STOP their TV advertising and put that money on new equipment! Bad enough so much is spent on large share holder dividends and PGE upper echelon employees' enormous salaries, benefits and bonuses.

We could ask Governor Newsom to sue them again for a few hundred million dollars and get their attention for the necessary upgrades? Then when they pass the cost onto us again everyone will be happy as clams. (just before they're thrown in the boiling water)
Also, the more households that go solar, the higher cost electric cost rise. Have you ever noticed that CA is number one in so many different categories and those categories are not good.
A once great state brought down by politicians stupidity and spending money we do not have .

Government under-regulation and corporate greed. But don’t worry, as we sit in the dark we are still creating value for the shareholders!

I agree that our society has become one of thankless individuals.
The PG&E work crews deserve our praise.
As do: teachers, law enforcement, health care, road department, fire fighters, food service, social services, and, and....
People don't appreciate workers that provide a service to others. If you do, I apologize for lumping everyone in the same group.
Thanks PG&E work crews. I wouldn't want to be splicing wires, and putting equipment together in 20degree weather. In the dark. While it's raining or snowing.
The public's anger is directed to you, but your bosses.

Most of theses people have generators. That is if you're a smart local. The rest just go back to their real homes. Flatlanders that long to be country mountain folk.

Obviously a few of our hard working keyboard he-men on the TPT commenting do not understand that the workers in the field doing repairs are not upper-management.
The field employee receives work orders. It's not a pick and choose, and everyone has a certain job to do on a certain truck. If you think those linemen just sit in their trucks with the heater on then I'd say you sound pretty dimwitted.
I don't know today's OSHA regulations or PG&E safety regulations and how many hours one can work in a 24hr period, but maybe you should try being in their shoes. (no, i never worked for them, but I've worked next to those crews more then once) Plenty of times a lot of those on repair crews will have a minimum 12 hour plus work day. Hours are not just 8am to 5pm and you go home. You work on repairs until it's finished, or the next crew comes to relieve your crew or you have to stop because of safety reasons.
If you think that lineman just sits in his truck all day long with the heater on then I can think that you are pretty damn ignorant and dimwitted. Obviously you've never been handed any type of work order and had to explain when you came back to the yard why you had not completed the job to your boss.
