President Joe Biden on Securing the Release of Americans Detained in Russia
Washington, DC..Today, three American citizens and one American green-card holder who were unjustly imprisoned in Russia are finally coming home: Paul Whelan, Evan Gershkovich, Alsu Kurmasheva, and Vladimir Kara-Murza. The deal that secured their freedom was a feat of diplomacy. All told, we’ve negotiated the release of 16 people from Russia—including five Germans and seven Russian citizens who were political prisoners in their own country. Some of these women and men have been unjustly held for years. All have endured unimaginable suffering and uncertainty. Today, their agony is over.
I am grateful to our Allies who stood with us throughout tough, complex negotiations to achieve this outcome— including Germany, Poland, Slovenia, Norway, and Turkey. This is a powerful example of why it’s vital to have friends in this world whom you can trust and depend upon. Our alliances make Americans safer.
And let me be clear: I will not stop working until every American wrongfully detained or held hostage around the world is reunited with their family. My Administration has now brought home over 70 such Americans, many of whom were in captivity since before I took office. Still, too many families are suffering and separated from their loved ones, and I have no higher priority as President than bringing those Americans home.
Today, we celebrate the return of Paul, Evan, Alsu, and Vladimir and rejoice with their families. We remember all those still wrongfully detained or held hostage around the world. And reaffirm our pledge to their families: We see you. We are with you. And we will never stop working to bring your loved ones home where they belong.

Trump has neither the desire, ability, balls to engage Harris in a one on one debate in front of the American people. He's dumb, all he can do is hurl insults. He has very little knowledge of issues that effect everyday Americans. And mostly he lacks the balls to git it on with her on stage. I will give him some credit though for realizing he would get his clock cleaned and therefore is sidestepping the SCHEDULED debate every chance he gets.
Bottom line. He's a bully that has been called out. If you got something to say loser, say it to Kamala's face. I thought so.
Trump, as he has been his entire life, is a stone cold loser. We will be permanently rid of him when the Big Blue Wave hits shore November 5th. Former president uses photo to substantiate allegations Kamala has always identified as Indian, after fake news MSM claims he lied.
Mainstream media struggles to recast Harris as black, as social media produces mountain of evidence showing Harris has mainly identified as Indian American.
Former President Donald Trump shot back at critics claiming he’s racist for suggesting Vice President Kamala Harris hasn’t always identified as black with an old family photo featuring Vice President Kamala Harris dressed in traditional Indian garb.
“Thank you Kamala for the nice picture you sent from many years ago! Your warmth, friendship, and love of your Indian Heritage are very much appreciated,” Trump wrote on Truth Social Thursday morning.
The 45th president’s post highlighting Harris’ Indian upbringing followed a contentious interview with the National Association of Black Journalists in Chicago on Wednesday, where he was criticized for claiming Kamala had previously identified as Indian-American when it was politically expedient during her time in the US Senate, but is now attempting to claim she’s black.
“I’ve known her a long time, indirectly,” Trump said. “And she was always of Indian heritage, and she was only promoting Indian heritage. I did not know she was black until a number of years ago when she happened to turn black, and now she wants to be known as black.”
“I respect either one,” he said, adding, “but she obviously doesn’t, because she was Indian all the way, and then all of a sudden, she made a turn and … she became a black person. … Somebody should look into that, too.”
The response came as ABC News Senior Congressional Correspondent Rachel Scott pressed Trump on whether he believed Harris was a DEI hire, with Scott arguing falsely that Kamala had “always identified as a black person.”
Just so we’re clear, Joe Biden himself lauded Kamala as his DEI hire just four months ago, stating,
“To me, the values of diversity, equality, inclusion are literally — and this is not kidding — the core strengths of America… That’s why I’m proud to have the most diverse administration in history that taps into the full talents of our country. And it starts at the top with the Vice President.”
Meanwhile, as the mainstream media struggles to recast Harris as black, social media did its thing and produced a mountain of evidence showing she has mainly identified as an Indian American.
Sharing the same photo as Trump, Indian-American Dinesh D’Souza commented, “Here’s Kamala Harris in a family photo. She looks Asian Indian, like me. ‘But she IDENTIFIES as black!’ Wait! So if I now identify as black, I somehow become black?”
Former GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, himself of Indian heritage, also slammed Kamala for attempting to shift her race when it’s politically convenient.
“Many Indian-Americans in the US are indeed somewhat offended by the way Kamala has suddenly cast aside the Indian-American side of identity… She wore that when it was convenient. She’s wearing a different identity now,” Ramaswamy told Fox News.
Asked his thoughts on the situation, Trump running mate JD Vance said he thought it “hilarious” that the former president “pointed out the fundamental chameleon-like nature of Kamala Harris.”
“I frankly just think it’s hysterical how much the media is overreacting to it,” Vance said.
“The President doesn’t do scripted BS stuff. He actually goes into hostile audiences, he answers tough questions, he pushes back against them, but he actually answers them and how nice it is to have an American leader who’s not afraid to go into hostile places and actually answer some tough questions.”
“So what he said, I thought it was hysterical. I think he pointed out the fundamental chameleon-like nature of Kamala Harris,” he said. “She’s flip flopped on every issue. She’s fake. She’s phony. And I think our whole campaign is going to have a very fun time pointing that out. And it sounds like the president kicked us off in stride.”

Kamala is part Indian and part Jamaican. Obviously, the Jamaican part has some African.
Trump is making it very easy for people Ossian and African heritage to want to favor Kamala.
Every time Trump opens his mouth about a person who looks to certain parts of their heritage to gain favor, he alienates those that aren't white to empathize with his target of racial difference.
