James N. Scott, of Arnold, Passed Away on November 5th, 2008
JAMES N. SCOTT was born August 9, 1938 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Josphine & Nute Scott who moved to Arnold, California (White Pines) in 1947. Jim lived the majority of his life in Arnold, Ca. He attended Hazel Fischer Grammar School in White Pines. He attended Bret Harte High School in Angels Camp, Ca. He became a Roofing Contractor in 1971 after working in the trade....
for years. His business "Jim Scott Roofing Inc." thrived in Arnold, Ca. for 37 years. Jim retired in the fall of 2006. After which he moved with his wife Bettie to Council, Idaho where they built a house and a special heated shop which he loved. They lived there 2 years then returned to Arnold to be close to family because of Jim's declining health.
He was the beloved husband of Bettie Scott for 47 years. Loving father of 4 children, James Scott jr. of Stockton, Ca, Pamela (Jamison) Groppe of Arnold, Ca, Parris Scott of Arnold, Ca. Sarah (Bullmaster) Linebaugh of Arnold, Ca. A devoted Grandfather of 10 Grandchildren, T.J. Jamison, Justin Jamison, Kelsey Jamison, Cheyenne Jamison, Christopher Scott, Courtney Scott, Logan Scott, Ava Scott, A.J Bullmaster & Jackson Linebaugh. The loving brother of Glen Scott of Murphys, Ca. plus many neices & nephews.
Jim Scott was a Class Act all his own. He kept family and friends laughing at his stories. His humor and wit will be missed at family gatherings more than one can say. He loved going fishing with his best friend Jerry Airola of Oakdale, Ca. Jim was a faithful member of the Arnold Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses where he served as an Elder at one time. Friends and Family are invited to attend his Memorial Service to be held November 15th, 2008 2PM tenative location The Independance Hall, Arnold, Ca. Potluck will be served after the service. Burial will be private at Buena Vista Cemetery in Murphys, Ca
