Excited yet burdened about male and female relationships, Dr. Emerson Eggerichs and his wife Sarah launched the Love and Respect Conferences in 1999. Based on over three decades of counseling as well as scientific and biblical research, this conference has given hope and new life to thousands of marriages around the country. The Love and Respect Conference is open to the community and is being hosted by the Chapel in the Pines.

Please join the Copper Trail Company for us for their Valentine's Sweetheart Ride on Saturday, February 12th! Come on out with your sweetheart for a fun Valentine's Trailride!! We'll ride out from the trailhead at 11AM, enjoy a beautiful, leisurely ride with fantastic views! The ride itself will be an approximate 2 hour ride. When we get back to the trailhead, we'll have a wonderful picnic layed out, with sandwiches, fruit, chocolate dipped strawberries and champagne! And of course, treats for our equine sweethearts as well!!.....

The Murphys Volunteer Library will hold a “beat-the-winter-blahs” gigantic book sale on Saturday, February 12, 2011 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Murphys Volunteer Library in Murphys Park. Ten ($10) bucks buys you a “bag o’ books” of your choice. We have hardbacks, paperbacks, fiction, non-fiction, mysteries, westerns, science fiction, children’s books, audio cassettes, and even videos.....


On that Saturday, we will also give a free book to anyone bringing in Sierra Hills grocery receipts. We also appreciate cash donations.

Come early to get the great choices!!

The County Library sponsored Giving Tree Project was a huge success this
year. The Murphys Library collected $167.00 from patrons and the community, and the Murphys Volunteer Library Board will match the gift amount of $501.00 collected. Funds will be used to purchase new books for
our Children’s, Juvenile, and Young Adult sections. We thank you for your
support and generosity.

Don’t forget the Monday computer classes at the library from 10 a.m. to 12
noon. Call beforehand to make sure the classes are taking place.

Story time will begin on Tuesday, February 15 at 11 a.m., at the Library.
Come hear good stories read by Karla and meet Beckett, the “story dog”.
