04:00 PM - 07:00 PM A Drive Thru Chicken in a Barrel & Spaghetti Dinner
A Drive Thru Chicken in a Barrel & Spaghetti Dinner Planned to Help Raise Funds for Family of Emilya Jade Taylor on February 25th....PLEASE HELP

Calaveras County, CA...A Quote from the Taylor family: "Emilya Jade Taylor was born on February 5, 2006 to Andrea Reis and Jeff Taylor. During her delivery, there were complications with her umbilical cord that caused Emilya to be with out oxygen for 55 minutes. She was transferred to Doctors Memorial in Modesto, then to UCSF Children's Medical Center. There, she was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. Through out her short life, she was unable to walk, talk or eat normal foods like many of us do on a daily basis. She was however, able to communicate with her beautiful eyes. She could tell you what she was thinking at all times with one look.....

Emilya often suffered from seizures. It had been an ongoing battle that she was on medication for. Although the medication did control them, she did suffer from break through seizures. On January 7th, Emilya suffered a seizure that ultimately claimed her life. James, her soon to be step dad, found her and was able to administer CPR and revive her. She was transported by ambulance to Sonora Regional Medical Center where they stabilized her and life flighted her down to UCSF Children's hospital. On January 12th, Emilya passed away. Her final act was one that could be considered heroic. She was able to donate her kidneys, corneas and heart valves. Just this week, the family found out that Emilya's kidneys were successfully transplanted. Her heart valves and corneas are currently being prepared for future transplant.

On February 25th, the family and friends of Emilya are hosting a Drive Thru Chicken in a Barrel & Spaghetti Dinner at Angels Gun Club to help with the final medical and funeral expenses. Dinner tickets are $20 each and you can pick up your dinners from 4 - 7pm. Tickets are available at Scotts Yogurt Factory in Angels Camp or you can contact Michelle Perkins @ 736-2215 or at welderperkins@gmail.com. We are also doing a raffle. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. So far we have raffle prizes from Carson Valley Inn, Bear Valley Ski Resort, Mikes Pizza, Middleton's, and Greenhorn Creek. Raffle tickets can be purchased at the dinner during pick up hours. There has also been a bank account established at Umpqua Bank. Anyone wishing to make a donation can visit a local Umpqua Bank Branch or they can also mail a donation to me, Michelle Perkins PO Box 784 Altaville, Ca 95221. The account name is under Emilya Jade Taylor Medical Fund and checks should be made out that way. "

We are also looking for donations for raffle prizes. Anyone interested in donating can also contact me.

Thank you so much! It is much appreciated!!!
