Guided Hike, Big Trees State Park - 209-795-3840
Free, however, entrance fee $10 ($12 on holiday weekends) per carload applies. Guided hikes available year round. When the snow covers the ground they become guided snowshoe walks every Saturday at 1pm. Snowshoes are provided free, first come first served. No reservations are allowed. Check in at the Warming Hut no later than 12:30 pm.

Hotel Mardi Gras Party In The "Courthouse Jail"
Mokelumne Hill, CA...On Saturday, March 1, 2014 from 5pm-8pm we will host a Mardi Gras party and dinner in the renovated "Courthouse Jail" that is now a beautiful wine cellar banquet room. The evening will feature a fabulous Cajun-Creole meal prepared by our own Chef Chuck Swisher, accompanied by wine pairings hosted by our own local Renegade Winery. The menu includes:
APPETIZERS - Oysters Rockefeller, Boiled Crawfish w/Remoulade Sauce, Cajun Fried Chicken
SALAD - "Beans and Greens of New Orleans" - a tasty blend of black-eyed peas, kidney beans, corn, garlic, arugula and kale, mixed with a savory mustard herb dressing
ENTREES - Jambalaya and Shrimp Etouffee served over Rice
DESSERTS - Bananas Foster and Blueberry-Pecan Bread Pudding w/Orange Vanilla Bourbon Sauce
The Whiewater Saloon will be open and serving a variety of New Orleans classics such as Hurricanes, Ramos Gin Fizz, Vieux Carre, and others!
There will also be live music by Annie Marie & FiddleAround - come and dance to their infectious beat of Cajun, Zydeco, New Orleans Blues and Swamp Boogie, They will also lead a Mardi Gras parade around the streets of Moke Hill to end the evening.
Anyone wishing to spend the night (we also have another live band in the Saloon that night starting at 9pm), call and ask for the "Mardi Gras" special rate.
