11:30 AM Dining Program Returning to Jenny Lind Veterans Memorial Hall on March 8th
San Andreas, CA...Common Ground Senior Services has been providing Congregate Dining Sites in Calaveras and Amador County for over ten years. These meal sites are designed to bring folks together for a hot nutritious meal, along with socialization. Meals are served each Wednesday at the old Burson Fire Station and Thursdays in Valley Springs. Meals were served each Thursday at the Jenny Lind Veterans Memorial Hall until May of 2017 when the old hall closed. Now that the Vet's hall is open again the Congregate Dining program will be returning on March 8th. Common Ground would like to thank the Board, Staff and Veterans for allowing our Agency to continue serving these meals now that the new hall is open.

Founded in 2000, Common Ground Senior Services is a local, independent non-profit organization serving the seniors of Amador and Calaveras counties. The primary focus of our agency is to ensure that seniors, faced with the prospect of food insecurity, isolation, and loneliness, stay independent and in their homes.

Our services are directed towards those with the greatest physical, social and economic need. The seniors we serve are often frail, have limited capacity to purchase or prepare meals, and have little or no support from family or caregivers.

Many of our seniors are physically challenged due chronic illness and a variety of other conditions.
