All Day Emergency Project to Remove Storm Damaged Trees to Cause Delays on Hwy 4
Arnold, CA...Significant Traffic Impacts Will Affect Motorists In Calaveras County. The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will continue an Emergency Director’s Order to remove damaged trees from the December winter storms that brought record snow and high wind gusts to the Sierra Nevada. Significant traffic impacts are expected, while District 10 removes material from the roadway for the safety of the traveling public. One-way traffic control with regular full-stops in both directions is scheduled on State Route 4 from Northwood Drive near Forest Meadows to Camp Connell beginning Monday, March 7, through Friday, March 11, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This work will continue Monday through Friday into spring 2022.

Caltrans District 10 encourages motorists to conduct essential travel outside scheduled work hours to help reduce wait times.

When trees are dropped, all traffic is stopped for the safety of the traveling public and to allow equipment to operate which can create extended delays.

This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or materials and construction related issues.

For the safety of workers and other motorists, please Be Work Zone Alert.

For the latest road conditions, visit quickmap.dot.ca.gov.
