Chapel in the Pines Invites Children to Maker Fun Factory VBS: Created by God, Built for a Purpose.
Arnold, CA - A summer kids’ event called Maker Fun Factory VBS will be hosted at Chapel in the Pines from June 12 to June 16. At Maker Fun Factory, kids discover that God made them—and for a purpose! Kids participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, make and devour yummy treats, experience one-of-a-kind Bible adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them of God’s love, and test out Sciency-Fun
Gizmos they’ll take home and play with all summer long. Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God Sightings. Each day concludes with the Funshop Finale that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned. Family members and friends are encouraged to join in daily for this special time at [time of Funshop Finale].
Kids at Maker Fun Factory VBS will join a missions effort to fund the digging of effective clean water wells for remote villages in Peru. Maker Fun Factory is for kids from 4+years old to 5th grade (just completing) and will run from 9:30am to 12:30pm each day. JUNE13th PORTABLE PICNIC POCKETS WITH SALLY HUGHES Learn how to make a variety of filled pastry doughs including Argentinian Empanadas—filled with diced beef, onions, roasted bell peppers, spices, oregano, apples, green olives, and raisins. Cornish Pasties—filled with finely diced beef, onions, carrots, potatoes, and turnips. Sicilian Scacciata—filled with provolone, cauliflower, and olives.

Come join us for a tour of the Thorn Mansion a National Historic Home built in 1861 for Sheriff Benjamine Kent Thorn and his wife Anna Meeks.
Located just off Hwy 49 on 87 East Street off Charles Street.
The Current owners Rurik and Marjorie Kallis have been restoring this home since 2001 and invite us to tour the home and their private antique car collection as well. Then join us in the backyard for a BYO lunch and don't forget a lawn chair and hat
