All Day Come discover eye catching artistry at Volcano West Gallery!
Volcano, Ca...Three artists are exhibiting new works in June at Volcano West Gallery. Take a scenic drive to the small, historic town of Volcano in Amador County.

Featured artists are Lennie Honcoop, Ree McLaughlan Brown and Terri Patterson.
Lennie Honcoop has a background in fine arts. For many years she taught art at elementary and high school until an accident resulted in the loss of the fine motor skills in her hands. She established a business, Dutch Quilter, a reflection of having immigrated from the Netherlands. She traveled throughout the US exhibiting her quilt designs. Living in Pine Grove, Lennie turned to color pencil drawing wild animals, birds, pets, flowers, and historic buildings. She is showing originals and prints at Volcano West Gallery.
Ree McLaughlan Brown often paints on unexpected surfaces like granite, aluminum and mineral paper. Motion dominates her expressive art which dances with vivid color and uplifting emotion. Ree has a Bachelor of Art and MBA from CSUS. Living in rural Amador County, Ree works with unusual tools, such as metal implements, sandblaster, torch, air, irons and knives to move paint, wax and inks across surfaces. She even uses a tractor blade to create rugged edges of works on slabs of granite and marble.
African artisans use techniques that have been passed down through the generations to craft surprisingly beautiful beads from metal, glass, clay, and paper. Terri Patterson combines African beads with crystal, stones, and other beads to create a colorful and unique line of jewelry. Her jewelry selection features beads from Ghana, Ivory Coast, Togo, Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, Ghana and Ethiopia.

Volcano West Gallery is located at 16105 Main Street in Volcano, next to the historic cobblestone outdoor amphitheater. The gallery is open 10-5 on Fridays and weekends in June.
