Calaveras Community Foundation (CCF) Announces Annual Competitive Grants Period for 202 Angels Camp, CA...The Calaveras Community Foundation is seeking applicants for its 2022 competitive grant process. Any project submitted by a qualified applicant will be considered. A wide variety of projects is being sought, but because of new funding sources available this year, special emphasis will also be placed on applications addressing food scarcity, mental health issues and substance abuse education and prevention.
Non-profit groups, schools and government agencies in Calaveras County are encouraged to focus on that special project that could make a difference in people’s lives, or make changes benefitting the county or groups.
The application period is from July 1, 2022 through July 31, 2022. Applications will only be accepted via email: info@calaverascommunityfoundation.org

The 17th Annual Arnold Classic Car Show is July 16th Arnold, CA... On July 16th the 17th Annual Arnold Classic Car Show will thunder into White Pines Park. The Park will be filled with over 100 classic and beautifully restored cars. Photos and video below are from 2021 to get you in the mood. We tried to take photos of each entrant that was there when we were and also video walking through the grounds. For many the star of the show was in 1919 Cadillac tow truck that has been lovingly brought back to life. It had been sitting in a barn for decades upon decades and is a rolling piece of automotive art and history. Frog Jump stickers from the 1920s & all you need to do to get great tow service from the Auto Club is to say "Operator Connect me to Phone 128 in Angels Camp.
In this show there were restorations, survivors, cost no object vehicles of desire and great old classics. It is wonderful to see these rolling works of art out for a bit of exercise after their long Covid slumber.
