All Day "Mountain Ranch Day in the Park"


36th Annual Day in the Park


Saturday August 22, 2015, Mountain Ranch celebrates their 36th Annual "Day in the Park".
This day, of free fun supports our Park for the entire year. The day begins with a pancake
breakfast hosted by the FFA ( Future Farmers of America) from 7 to 10 AM. Cost is $7.00.
Proceeds benefit the FFA and the Park .
Opening ceremonies will begin at 10 AM. with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Classic and restored car show and crafters selling treasures opening at 10 AM.

All cars are welcome, to enter you must pre-registe, call Jerry Bryd for entry form, 754-3095.
Live Music from 11 to 4 PM. local talent performing. Information and service booths
will be on site. Food and drinks will be for sale.
BBQ Chicken Dinner will be served at 3 PM, cost is $12.00 and the proceeds benefit the Park.
Horseshoes and games for the kiddies, including a water slide for everybody's pleasure.

Festival Celebrates Old West Tradition

Grab your sense of adventure and your gold pans and head for the Gold and Outdoor Festival at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds in Sonora, Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 22-23.
Presented by the Delta Gold Diggers and sponsored by Gold Prospectors Association of America. Bring the family for an old-fashioned good time and the chance to bring home gold and prizes.
Events will include: panning for real gold, equipment demonstrations, claim jumper detecting hunt, prospecting seminars, a chance to win buried treasure and $5,000+ in door prizes.
There will be vendors, information on how and where to go gold mining and plenty of family fun. Admission is $5 for adults; children 12 and under are free.

Musicians are rallying together to help raise funds for local artist and friend Tracy Girard. Tracy has garnered support from musicians and friends around the world. Local bands, National bands, friends from grade school, high school, to countless family members are coming together to help raise funds for a much needed, lifesaving double lung transplant.

Celebrate With Sip ‘n Salsa At Greenhorn Creek Resort!

The sounds of Latin jazz will be resonating through California’s Gold Country on Saturday, August 22, 2015, when Greenhorn Creek Resort plays host to “Sip ‘n Salsa.”

The sassy and swanky, end-of-summer soireé will be headlined by the Mario Flores Latin Jazz Band, led by Mario Flores on congas and vocals, and members who have performed with some of the world’s most noted musicians such as Pete Escovedo, Cornelius Bumpus, Don Shelton, Freddie Revel and Bobby McFerrin. They will be joined on the Cellar Room patio by the spicy moves of salsa dancers who will, undoubtedly, be encouraging guests to participate.

To revel in the entertainment beginning at 7:00 PM, there is a cover charge of $15 with advance reservation or $20 at the door. Guests choosing to start the evening earlier at 5:00 PM are invited to dine at CAMPS Restaurant on a Latin-style meal that will include local corn and heirloom tomato salad with black beans and chicken enchilada for $15, or smoky-rubbed rib-eye steak with chimichurri for $30. Special drinks for the evening include Vintner Member Wines-by-the-Glass, Beer and Sangria for $5.
