09:00 AM 21st Annual Sierra AIDS Walk
The Sierra AIDS Walk is a family event with a beautiful walk in the redwood forest to raise awareness of and funds for the fight against HIV/AIDS.

Everyone who preregisters for the event will receive a chance to win 4 Park Hopper Passes to Disneyland in Anaheim, CA.

Check in begins at 9:00 am. Walk times are flexible. Participants can choose their own trail and walk at their own pace. (Trails are available for all skill levels.)

Music and lunch will be provided for all participants. This event benefits local HIV and AIDS services in Calaveras, Tuolumne and Amador Counties.

09:30 AM - 03:30 PM 2nd annual Evan Walker Memorial Poker Run
The 2nd annual Evan Walker Memorial Poker Run is a fundraising event to raise awareness for ADD and ADHD, with proceeds being donated Tuolumne and Calaveras schools’ special education programs. The cost is $20.00 per person.

The poker run route will follow the scenic back roads of the foothills winding through both Calaveras and Tuolumne Counties.
Come join us for a fun day of riding, music and food!
Ride pins for the first 40 registered riders.

11:00 AM - 03:00 PM First Pinecrest American Sign Language Event set for Sept. 16
The Stanislaus National Forest is hosting its first Sign Language Extravaganza Sept. 16 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Pinecrest Lake on the Summit Ranger District.


Family fun and activities are planned for all participants, whether you are deaf, hearing impaired, or a hearing individual. Visitors will enjoy a Forest Service presentation in spoken English as well as American Sign Language, or ASL. There will be live music and songs translated into ASL and participants can learn phrases about the Forest in sign language.

Don’t miss this free event, to be held at the fishing pier at the south end of Pinecrest Lake this Saturday, beginning at 11 a.m.

Dakota Crossing will light up the night with pop and country hits! Always a fan favorite, this is a concert you don't want to miss. Copperopolis Town Square – the events, shopping and entertainment gathering place in Calaveras County – will host the Copper Concerts series beginning September 2nd and continuing every Saturday through September 30th.
