07:00 AM - 09:00 AM State of the County Breakfast is September 6th
San Andreas, CA...The Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its fourth annual State of the County Breakfast on Friday, September 6, 2019 at The Metropolitan located at 59 Main Street in San Andreas. Doors will open at 7:00am with the program scheduled for 7:30am till 9:00am. This event will serve as a forum to highlight Calaveras County’s accomplishments over the last year and discuss goals for the future.


The State of the County address will be presented by Calaveras County Board of Supervisors Chair, Jack Garamendi with reflection on the County’s achievements and challenges in 2018-19 and provide a forecast for Calaveras County’s upcoming year. Additional speakers include City of Angels Camp Mayor, Amanda Folendorf; Calaveras County CAO, Albert Alt; and Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce, Mark Luster. Breakfast during the event will be catered by The Metropolitan.

Registration is required for this event, and is available online at www.calaveras.org/stateofthecounty. Registration cost is $30 for Chamber members and $35 for non-members. Table sponsorship is available at $500 which includes 8 seats, signage on the table, and recognition during the program. Seating is limited, and registration closes on August 29th. Angels Camp, CA...Bring your family, blankets or lawn chairs and enjoy a night of great food, beer & wine, music, fresh produce and locally handmade crafts. See you in the park for the perfect small town Friday night! Each week features a local musician / band and winery.


The Angels Camp Certified Farmers Market runs every Friday starting 5 p.m. to dusk at Utica Park in Angels Camp. Hosted by the Angels Camp Business Association, the annual Farmers Market brings farm-fresh vegetables, herbs, plants, flowers and fruits, handmade products, live entertainment, dinner options, desserts and a different featured local winery and musician each evening. 05:30 PM Leilani and the Distractions Tonight at First Friday in The Park!
Murphys, CA...From June to September, First Fridays in the Park has featured performances by a variety of musical groups playing in the familiar gazebo starting at 5:30 p.m. Friends and neighbors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy a small town America gathering in the cool confines of Murphys Community Park. The park’s Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) license prohibits the bringing of wine or liquor into the park but wine and beer will be available to purchase with the proceeds going to the Murphys Community Club. Each event will have a community sponsor. Murphys Pour House and Murphys Irish Pub are the June sponsors.

Beginning at 4 p.m. music lovers can purchase food from two food trucks. Lorenzo Neto and his Food Shack sells hamburgers, burritos, salads and more. Mary’s Taco Truck offers a variety of Latin favorites. There will be a featured local wine, beer and other beverages for sale at “The Hut”. All proceeds will go to maintaining and improving the park.

There is no admission charge and ample free parking is available nearby. Donations to help maintain the park are always gratefully received.

The featured bands for the rest of the First Fridays series are: July 5, Two Hoots and a
Holler; August 2, The Iconics; September 6, Leilani and the Distractions.
The park will also be the site for the Calaveras Arts Council’s Wednesday, August 7 Music in the Parks performance featuring Cantamos, starting at 6:30 p.m.
