10:00 AM - 04:00 PM Halloween at the Cavern Each Weekend in October at Moaning Cavern Park
Beginning Saturday, October 3, Moaning Cavern Adventure Park puts the 'Ahh' in adventure with the opening of their new Halloween at the Cavern event.

"Halloween at the Cavern is the perfect place for families to go this Halloween season for a frighteningly fun time," said Carolee White, special events coordinator for Cave and Mine Adventures. “We have so many family-friendly events planned for Halloween this year and so much of it is free!”

Each weekend in October, Moaning Cavern will have a pumpkin patch with pre-picked regular and heirloom variety pumpkins for sale and a FREE kid-friendly small hay maze located just outside the visitors center open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

On Halloween, the day is packed with events from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. guaranteed to put everyone in the Halloween spirit. Prior to picking the perfect pumpkin, families can jump on the Unimog Adventure Ride, which features the 'BOO-tiful' Moaning Cavern property of rolling hills and scenic vistas.

If the Unimog ride stirs up a little goblin's creative side, families can continue their Halloween experience by entering a decorated pumpkin contest, homemade costume contest and search for little pumpkins in the hay maze on the Pumpkin Plunder. To add to the festival-like atmosphere, guests can take a chance and guess how much a giant pumpkin weighs.

For the older kids and adults, sign up for the Great Zip Pumpkin Smash! While zipping up to speeds of 30 to 40 mph, guests lob a pumpkin from the zip line trying to hit targets on the ground. All bullseye target winners get a FREE Zip Line ride AND the full entry ticket price will be donated to the Salvation Army to help the Butte Fire victims. The Great Zip Pumpkin Smash is $55 per pumpkin smash and there is a limited number of entries for the day, so arrive early!

After a 'ghoulishly' good time outside, don't forget Moaning Cavern offers cave walking tours, cave rappels and great shopping in the visitors center. We will even have Halloween-themed merchandise for this season.

Please be sure to visit our website at www.caverntours.com/halloween-at-the-cavern-each-weekend-in-october/ for all of the rules and details about the Halloween at the Cavern event.
