05:00 PM - 08:00 PM 7th Annual Merry Merchants in Columbia - December 13, 5 to 8 pm
The Columbia Chamber of Commerce and its Merry Merchants invite you to enjoy an evening of old fashioned Christmas charm in Columbia. Columbia's merchants will be open for business Friday evening, December 13, 5 to 8 pm, for stress-free shopping in the tradition of times gone by. Columbia State Historic Park is decorated for the Christmas season with traditional boughs and wreaths, and docents will be decked out in their old-time finery. Greet Father Christmas at the Tibbits House for a gift of freshly-made gingerbread -- bring your camera if you'd like a picture with Father Christmas!

Listen to the sounds of the season - local children and others will be singing Christmas carols - and enjoy traditional food and drink from Columbia stores, such as roasted chestnuts, gingerbread and hot chocolate to warm yourselves from the inside out. Take a free carriage ride on Main Street!

The Merry Merchants event is hosted by the Columbia Chamber of Commerce and is fun for all ages. For more information, call 532-1850 or the Columbia Chamber of Commerce at 536-1672 or visit www.columbiacalifornia.com.

"Zucca After Hours is open 5-8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.

If you're looking for a cozy spot to enjoy a glass of wine on a Friday or Saturday night, the Zucca garden is your place. Because all those firepits are even better to sit by on a cool winter evening.

If the weather is yucky, no problem, we've got some nice bar seating in the Toscano room.

Oh, and we always welcome your picnic items or takeout from area restaurants should you want to make a night of it."
