5th Annual Farms of Tuolumne County Farm and Ranch Tour
The Fifth Annual Farms of Tuolumne County Farm and Ranch Tour will take
place on Saturday, July 7, 2012 from 10-4pm in Tuolumne County. Five
beautiful farms and ranches - La Bella Rosa Vineyards, Solomon's Gardens,
Mother Lode Ranch, Sweet River Ranch and Rancho Torales/Sonora Gold - will
be open to the public for touring and meeting the farmers and ranchers; free
food and wine tasting, horse-drawn wagon rides, impressive wagon and carriage display, gardening/landscape workshops, spinning and weaving demos and other educational presentations, great shopping, plein air painters, lots of
animals including cattle, horses, goats and llamas. Stroll through lavender fields. Bring your camera for wonderful photo opportunities.!
Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 the day of the event where you can buy a ticket at your first tour stop.
Those 18 years of age and under get in FREE!

Farms of Tuolumne County (FOTC) is a non profit. Most of the proceeds from
the tour will go to scholarships for local high school seniors enrolled in an
agricultural related area of study.
Tour sponsors are the Diamondback Grill, Gold County Golf and Utility, Nature's Whole Food Depot, Oak Valley Community Bank and Sonora Subaru.

Railtown 1897 SHP plans to offer steam-powered excursion train rides behind Sierra No. 3 on Saturdays and vintage diesel locomotives on Sundays through the 2012 operating season. Master Food Preserver Class: Jams & Jellies
UC Cooperative Extension Master Food Preservers are now teaching free classes in Amador and Calaveras counties!
Learn the basic principles of safe water bath canning during a demonstration of how to make jams and jellies. Master Food Preservers will explain why each step of the process is important to ensure that your home preserved foods are not only delicious, but safe. If you learn the why behind each step in the process you’ll know how to properly adjust recipes you may find on the internet and in magazines.
