CalaverasGROWN Certified Farmers Market Opens June 13th in San Andreas San Andreas, CA...The 2019 season of CalaverasGROWN Certified Farmers Markets opens Thursday, June 13th in the UCCE Master Gardeners Demonstration Garden at Government Center, 891 Mountain Ranch Road, San Andreas. By popular demand, this year the market will be open weekly. The main market will take place on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 4 -6pm (June 13th, July 11th, August 8th, September 12th and October 10th) featuring local growers and vendors, live music from Vintage Vibrations and family-friendly activities for kids. In the weeks between, CalaverasGROWN will operate a farm stand in the same location offering many of the same products from CalaverasGROWN producers as well as a pick-up option for special orders. Calaveras Taxpayers Hosting Annual BBQ. Congressman Tom McClintock, County CAO Alt & More to Speak! San Andreas, CA...The Calaveras Taxpayers to host their Annual BBQ. The fundraising event will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2019, 5 to 8 PM. Location is at The Pickle Patch, 577 W St. Charles Street, San Andreas, CA 95249. The restaurant is located near the intersection of HWY 49 and Pool Station Road.

Tom will be addressing issues of local concern. He has spoken at CCTA events several times over the last ten years. Strong supporter of constitutional limited government, he also communicates well with those having opposing views.
James S. Burling, Pacific Legal Foundation
James is Vice President of Legal Affairs in Sacramento. He will be discussing PLF court cases including the recent win regarding the “Takings Clause” which now allows cases to go directly to the Federal Courts.
Eric Eisenhammer Founder of the Coalition of Energy Users. which is California's only grassroots advocate for access to affordable energy and quality jobs. Also, Eric is Director of Grassroots Operations of the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association He recently appeared as an interesting guest on CCTA’s Taxpayer Alert PATV program.
And, of course, there will be an exciting fundraising raffle. Bring lots of money.
Seating is limited. Donation is $30 which includes complete Tri-Tip dinner with desert and non-alcoholic beverages. Beer and wine bar will be hosted by the Pickle Patch.

Tuolumne County Historical Society Program Michael La Salle author of "No Trail to Follow The First Wagon Party to California in 1841". Will be the guest speaker 7PM at the Library on Greenly Road, Sonora. Everyone is welcome. Mr. LaSalle has ben drawn to the historical era of the covered wagon and the emigrant trails of the far west. He has used first had accounts from the diaries of John Bidwell and James John, to tell the story of how the party groped across uncharted territory.
