The Calaveras Humane Society will hold the 19th Annual Duck Races during Murphys Homecoming in Murphys Community Park this year on Saturday, July 21st. As in years past, we will hold both Adult and Kid Races starting at 1 pm. Participants will rent a numbered duck for each race; $5 for adults, $2 for kids. Rental ducks will be available each Saturday and Sunday, starting June 23 in Murphys at Sierra Hills Market and Yogurt Your Way and in Arnold at the CHS Thrift Store. The ducks will be dropped into Murphys Creek and retrieved at the Park for 5 different races. Prizes, including golf, rafting and cave tour packages and more, will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each of the races.
