Reminder...Don't Miss Dyemusica Tonight at First Fridays in Murphys Murphys, CA...Dyemusica, a band formed in 2011 by five musicians who love reggae and the freedom of jam music, will be the closing act for this year’s First Fridays in the Park series when they entertain the crowd on September 1 starting at 5:30 p.m. in the tree shaded Murphys Community Park. Based in Arnold, the band incorporates different tonal styles and personalities, with thought provoking lyrics and a lot of experimental overtones, to achieve its sound and create something original.
From June to September, the First Fridays in the Park series features a performance by a popular musical group playing in the iconic gazebo starting at 5:30 p.m. From 4 p.m., tickets for a special dinner will be available for purchase at $10 per person and an excellent local wine will be on sale along with other beverages. This month, Pipin' Hot Smokers BBQ & Catering from Sacramento will be offering smoked sausage, coleslaw, potato salad, pretzel rolls and a cookie
Friends and neighbors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and enjoy a small town America happening. There is no admission charge and ample free parking is available nearby. Donations to help maintain the park are always gratefully received.
The Murphys Community Club is celebrating its 69th year of providing services and programs for the greater Murphys area. Its prime responsibility is the management and maintenance of the beautiful Murphys Community Park.
This is the eleventh year the club has presented First Fridays in the Park. These summertime events continue to grow in popularity and have fast become a Mother Lode tradition.
