02:00 PM - 03:00 PM LECTURE & BOOK SIGNING "Brands of Calaveras County California 1854-1880"
by authors Sal Manna and Shannon Van Zant
"... a story of brands but also a story of families - of heritage and emigration, births and deaths, marriages and children, success and failure. Notably, three brands are still retained by descendants of those families, the oldest being nearly 150 years in the Prindle-Dell'Orto lineage and that of Huberty being the only one under its original surname. Taken together, the brands ... also tell another story, that of the early years of a rural California county."
Program will be held in the Museum's Carriage House
Cost: free for museum members, $10 non-members
Memberships start at just $35. Become a member and receive free entry to lectures and unlimited free admission to the museum for one year. Sign up today!
