Arts of Bear Valley Window Gallery April Artists

Photographer and watercolorist Janet Alcalde joins with painter Margaret Sloan to exhibit artworks centered on nature at the Arts of Bear Valley Window Gallery at Meadowmont Shopping Center in Arnold. You’ll be able to view their work from April 1 to April 30.
Jan Alcalde has been dabbling with photography for years and took up watercolor in retirement. Her images are inspired by the wonders of nature and the Sierra Nevada. She is also hopelessly enchanted by the beauty of New Mexico and the southwest in general, returning whenever possible to enjoy and capture its magic.
Sloan’s soft watercolors and oil paintings focus on still lifes, portraits, and landscapes, all related to her love of nature. “So many of us feel adrift these days,” she said. “My artwork holds space for the viewer to connect with nature, other people, and ultimately, themselves.”
The Arts of Bear Valley Window Gallery is window space donated graciously by the Meadowmont Shopping Center where Arts of Bear Valley artists exhibit their work to the public. Bret Harte FFA’s Greenhand Officer Team Fundraiser at El Jardin
Murphys, CA...The 2022-2023 Bret Harte FFA Greenhand officer team is holding a fundraiser on April 18th at El Jardin in Murphys. From noon to 8PM, a portion of the proceeds will go to the FFA program for our end of the year annual FFA banquet. You can dine-in or take-out and you will still be supporting Bret Harte FFA. This is a brand-new fundraiser for the chapter, so let’s make it a great turnout! Make sure to stop by El Jardin next Tuesday April 18th!
The Greenhand FFA Officer team is solely freshman to expose them to an FFA leadership role during their first year in our Ag program. The team works alongside the chapter officers, plans a fundraiser for the chapter, runs their very own FFA meeting in January, and does the flag ceremony at the annual end of the year FFA Banquet. This team has been a tradition of Bret Harte FFA for many years, and we look forward to this team “building their golden foundations” and seeing them thrive in the future.

Arnold, CA...Ebbetts Pass Town Hall is April 18th at 5:30 pm at Ebbetts Pass Fire District 1037 Blagen Rd. Arnold.
CCWD will be hosting a community town hall meeting for the Ebbetts Pass Community. CCWD staff will be present to discuss projects occurring in the area. Refreshments will be included. If you are unable to attend the Town Hall Meeting in person, you can log on virtually through Microsoft Teams:
