Deep Purple with Foghat and Joyous Wolf Bring Legendary Classic Rock to Ironstone
Murphys, CA...With a body of work spanning seven decades, Deep Purple has helped pioneer and define the hard rock genre whilst progressively moving into new areas to keep their sound fresh and attract new fans to the legions who have remained loyal since the band’s inception. There simply aren’t enough superlatives to properly acknowledge the contribution Deep Purple has made to rock music. Having sold more than 100 million albums and filled global arenas for decades, it’s little wonder respected British radio station Planet Rock named the group the ‘5th Most Influential Band Ever’, whilst VH1 ranked them #22 on its ‘Greatest Artists of Hard Rock’ list. Additionally, Deep Purple was given the ‘Legend Award’ at the 2008 World Music Awards and, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016. These guys truly are ‘rock royalty’
Foghat fans are everywhere and these days their audience consists of all ages. From the young kids who play Guitar Hero III and know all of the lyrics to ‘Slow Ride’, to the Dazed & Confused generation of 30-40 somethings and the ‘boomers’ who bought Foghat’s first vinyl or 8 track! Looking out at the audience and seeing all of the generations rockin’ to Foghat is very gratifying to the band. According to lead singer Charlie Huhn, “the band just wants to make sure that after every show, they are all convinced that they just got rocked, from the second we start the first song to the end of the show”.
Joyous Wolf is a Rock band from Southern California formed in 2014 by vocalist Nick Reese, guitarist Blake Allard, bassist Greg Braccio, and drummer Robert Sodaro. Reese and Sodaro met on their first day of 6th grade during student orientation. They went to different high schools where Sodaro would go on to befriend Braccio. During that time Reese, by chance, met Allard in the acoustic room at Guitar Center where they would jam CCR’s “Born on the Bayou”. There was an immediate dynamic between the two that ultimately led to an exchange of information. Months later Reese reached out to both Sodaro and Allard with the interest of starting a new project with them. Braccio would soon follow suit.
In the waning months of 2014 early jam sessions would yield the foundation of what Joyous Wolf has become. Fusing together influences ranging from Heavy Metal to Delta Blues, Joyous Wolf creates an expressive, high-energy fingerprint that separates themselves from their contemporaries in the realm of Modern Rock.09/07/2019 Starts at 07:00 PM
