Chris Cain Band – Award winning blues guitarist extraordinare - at the Sutter Creek Theatre |
Nominated Blues Music Awards 2018 Blues Guitarist of the Year. Blues Blast Magazine Annual Awards Committee has nominated Chris Cain as Male Blues Artist of the Year and his self-titled album, Chris Cain, as Best Contemporary Blues Album of the Year in their annual awards.
Cain’s debut recording, Late Night City Blues (Blue Rock’it Records-1987) garnered four W.C. Handy Blues Award nominations, including Guitarist of the Year. Dan Forte of Guitar Player wrote, “An impressive debut album by a top notch guitarist.”
Chris Cain offers up a soulful stew of Memphis style electric blues. His powerfully deep vocals and jazz inspired, blues guitar riffs are unforgettable; uniquely his own, while reminiscent of the legendary BB King and Albert King.
Members of his talented band have played with Etta James, Bo Diddley, Mary Wells, Charlie Musselwhite, Pete Escovedo, Ronnie Montrose, and Tower of Power.
The award winning historic Sutter Creek Theatre is an intimate 215 seat former silent film theatre with superb sond. Beer and wine at the venue. Tickets and video at the web site www.suttercreektheatre.com
Tickets $24 advance / $28 day of show
