The 36th Annual Historic Sonora Christmas Parade
Sonora, CA...The 36th Annual Historic Sonora Christmas Parade will be this Friday, November 29th at 6:00 pm. This brightly lit night-time parade starts at the Historic Red Church and follows Washington Street to Restano Way. Historic Downtown Sonora will be transformed almost overnight with all the holiday decorations up and the wreaths downtown sparkling with lights, the Christmas tree is in place and the merchants are festively decorating their shops all getting ready for the Holidays and the Annual Christmas Parade.


Folks out to enjoy this family event are sure to get in the Holiday spirit. Bands downtown will play Christmas Carols, before and after the Parade, join along or just enjoy the musical tradition.

All entries for the Parade are always festively decorated and Christmas themed music fills the air. Our local radio personalities will be announcing each entry as they go by. An added feature which people enjoy is the Holly Jolly Trolley, making it more fun for parade goes. The service is offered from 3 :00 pm until 9:00 the day of the Parade, free of charge, so now you don’t have to hassle with parking let Holly Trolley get you there and back! pick up are at the junction and walmart shopping centers every 15 minutes. until parade starts. so come on down!

Two Holiday craft fairs will be going on that day as well. one is the Annual Christmas Festival at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds, and one right downtown at the Sonora Opera Hall, Called the Hometown Crafters Craft Faire.

No matter what your plans are there is always something to do here in our Historic Downtown. it’s where it all happens!
