Columbia to Host Volunteer Meet & Greet
Columbia, CA...Be a VIP – Volunteer in Parks – and support your local State Park. Come to the Columbia Meet and Greet on January 4 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. in Eagle Cotage. Enjoy a brief presentation about a wide range of volunteer opportunities and meet with individual docents for breakout sessions on the topic of your choice. Topics may include the museum, schoolhouse, construction, library, town tours, archives, special events, and so much more!
Refreshments will be served.





What: Volunteer Meet & Greet
When: January 4, 2020 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Where: Eagle Cotage, Columbia State Historic Park

Docents are volunteers who have completed a training program with the park. Columbia depends on its volunteers to provide the best possible experience for our visitors. If you are a motivated individual who is interested in helping one of our beloved California State Parks, you can help by donating your time!

Columbia State Historic Park, located in Tuolumne County, is designated a National Historic Landmark District. The state has preserved the area to tell the story of the towns which arose to serve the needs of the miners during the California Gold Rush. California State Parks has restored, and continues to preserve, over thirty of the original brick buildings along the town’s Main Street.

Columbia State Historic Park hosts more than 600,000 visitors annually and is a major tourist destination in Tuolumne County. The park includes more than twenty concessionaires whose businesses, along with park staff and volunteers, help recreate the experience of the California Gold Rush for visitors from around the world.
