The 2023 Winter Explosion & Torchlight Parade at Bear Valley is Feb 18th
Bear Valley, CA...Join us for our biggest party of the season! Once the lifts stop turning, we keep the party going! An evening of fun with dinner and live music, we then end the night with a bang, literally. With a torchlight parade and fireworks!








Schedule

1pm Sign ups for the Torchlight Parade begin

4pm Live music begins

5:30pm Dinner is served

6:30pm Chairlift loading for Torchlight Participants Begins

7pm – Torchlight Parade begins followed by fireworks

It’s one of our busiest, most exciting days of the season! Be prepared for crowds, plan ahead, take our shuttle if you can, visit our website to familiarize yourself with our facilities.

Reminder it’s a Holiday Weekend! Have fun, arrive early, expect crowds.

Information To Remember

Shuttle Service: Two buses will operate through the Holiday weekend. Head to the “shuttle page” on Bearvalley.com for the shuttle schedule.

Winter Explosion Special Shuttle Hours: The village shuttle will continue to run from the mountain to the village until 6:30pm. There will be one final shuttle run from the mountain to the village at the conclusion of the event.

Live Music: Leilani and The Distractions will be performing in the sunroom from 4pm to 8pm.

Reba Sports: Will be open until 6:30pm

Sunroom Cafe: Will be open until 6:30pm

Torchlight Parade Sign Ups: Sign ups will begin at 1 PM at the kiosk in the Sunroom. Only a limited number of sign ups are available and will be first come first served. Sign ups must be done in person and can not be reserved in advance.

Torchlight Parade Participants: Torchlight participants MUST BE ADVANCED SKIERS AND SNOWBOARDERS capable of maintaining full control on advanced terrain (Porridge Bowl) in the dark while carrying a flaming torch. Participants are STRONGLY encouraged to wear gear that is ok to potentially be stained or damaged by embers and ashes falling from the torches. Bear Valley is not responsible for any staining or damage to participants equipment as a result of participating in the event. All participants must sign a liability waiver at time of sign up. Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent present at sign up to sign the liability waiver.

How will Dinner work? You can purchase dinner tickets on Saturday 2.18.23 throughout the day at the following locations:

Ebbetts Grill
Sunrise Café (Espresso Bar)
Reba Sports
Guest Services Office
Dinner will be served beginning at 5:30 in Ebbetts Grill.
