Mardi Gras Meowness is one of two major fundraising events held by the Humane Society of Tuolumne County to benefit the animals in our care. The funds generated from this annual Spring fundraiser go to support the spay and neuter programs we offer for the low-income residents of Tuolumne County. Last year, through our fundraising efforts, we were able to help spay or neuter 498 animals within our county. In addition, a portion of the funds go toward the medical care and feeding of our animals as they await their new forever homes as well as community and youth outreach programs that promote good animal husbandry and the importance of animal population control. |
