Volunteers are the strength and continuity of the Angels Camp Museum. As a volunteer, we hope that you will gain personal satisfaction from participating in the crucial task of preserving and interpreting the museum's extensive collection of historical artifacts. It is through our volunteers that the importance of this place, and the necessity of our mission, is communicated to the general public.
There are numerous benefits to being a volunteer. You will receive training; enjoy a complimentary museum membership; and receive 10% off gift shop merchandise. Volunteering at the museum is a great way to meet new people, share your talents and engage your community in understanding the gold country history of Angels Camp and the Mother Lode region.
We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic docents to help lead school and public tours at the museum. We are also seeking volunteers to assist with grant writing, handyman/carpentry projects, historical photo scanning and administrative tasks.
You are invited to attend a Volunteer Orientation at the museum on Friday, March 28, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. to learn more about how you can join our motivated team and take pride in being part of a vibrant organization. |
