UCCE Master Food Preserver Class: Freezing Basics |
Tired of pulling something out of the freezer to find that it looks like the inside of an ancient arctic cave filled with ice stalagmites? As simple as freezing foods sounds, there are multiple techniques to keep frozen food quality high. Freezing is a great way to preserve food at home, but it needs to be appetizing and edible when thawed. Learn how to keep food quality high in a freezer so you want to eat it instead of toss it.
This class is from 6:30-8:30 pm at the Amador County GSA Building, 12200-B Airport Road, Jackson and is free. While walk-ins are always welcome, we appreciate you letting us know you're coming to help us prepare handouts and samples. Sign up at http://ucanr.edu/mfp_summer_classes. For more information, visit http://ucanr.edu/mfpcs or call the UCCE Master Food Preservers at 209-223-6857.
