| Independent Mercantile Hosting Artist Reception for Thea Schoettgen at ND&X |
Murphys, CA...Independent Mercantile will be hosting our 2nd of 5 artist receptions of the summer at our Main St. store, the ND&X, July 14th. This reception will feature the work of another local favorite Thea Schoettgen. Thea finds beauty and inspiration in the panoramic views that surround her home in Bear Valley, CA and in those bright little moments whose compositions grab her attention. Finding inspiration in the near and far is her passion.
Thea primarily paints with acrylic paints on canvas, and loves the way acrylic paints dry quickly allowing layers of colors to be built. Working from her own photographs taken while skiing, hiking, mountain biking and mucking about she is able to bring her vision to all of us. She considers herself a studio painter who always has water filled brushes and watercolor paints and paper kits nearby or in a backpack. Please join us for a lovely evening celebrating Thea and her work. Wine by Boyle MacDonald and nibbles will be provided.
