MURPHYS SCHOOL OF MUSIC NEEDS YOU! Enjoy a full day of joyful, jam-packed music. Dance, Dance, Dance . . . and keep the music coming for generations to come at the second annual Murphys Music Fest in Murphys Community Park on Sunday, July 21 from noon to 9:00 pm.
Murphys School of Music has been offering classes and private lessons at their facility in Taylor Plaza since January 2018. A new Performance Art Classroom is now open offering dance and theatre classes. This ample space will also be a venue for budding student musicians. Registration for the Summer Session is now open, so visit the website www.murphysschoolofmusic.com to view the schedule and call to register. Music and dance lessons offer children fun, educational activities over summer break. These disciplines enhance a child’s ability to focus and learn while developing self-esteem in a joyful practice.
The fabulous line-up for this incredible day includes many of your local favorites:
CANTAMOS, LEILANI AND THE DISTRACTIONS, BRIAN JIRKA AND THE CABBY BAND, NN AND THE CONTROL, PLAN B, COOL BEANS, CROOKED BAND, NICK & RAS, DANCE DEMONSTRATIONS and a STUDENT STAGE WITH
GARY HILLMAN.
Tickets are just $25 for adults and $10 for kids. There will be no-host beverages including beer and wine and smoothies. Food vendors will offer delicious meals to enjoy from your low-back lawn chair, or at one of the many park picnic tables. A silent auction of art, experiences and other great selections will be part of the festivities, as well as kid’s activities.
Murphys School of Music is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that believes the Performing Arts are essential to have in every community. Music, Dance, and Theater can strengthen the mind and enrich the heart. Our mission is to keep the Arts alive by providing lessons, classes, workshops, and live performances at our facility or on location wherever needed. We are supported by your donations, grants and fundraising. We are grateful to have received a Calaveras Community Foundation
Grant in 2018. This community support is essential to our success.
