67th Annual Fine Art Show and Exhibition in Sonora
Sonora, CA...Deadline to enter is March 18. The deadline to enter the Mother Lode Art Association’s 67th Annual Fine Art Show and Exhibition is rapidly approaching. To obtain a Prospectus (entry form) please go to motherlodeartassociation.org or visit the Aloft Gallery on Washington Street. Entries must be postmarked no later than Friday, March 18. The Art Show is MLAA’s primary fundraising event and proceeds from entry fees, art sales, silent auction and raffle sales are used to support art education in area schools. The show at the Sonora Opera Hall, 250 S. Washington St., will open April 8th at 5pm, with an award presentation at 7pm. The show will be open Saturday, April 9th, 10am to 8pm and Sunday, April 10th, 10am to 3pm. Music will be provided Friday and Saturday evenings. There will be a raffle and silent auction which will close at 2pm Sunday. The grand raffle prize is artwork by Susie Hoffman entitled “Summer Pleasures”. (pictured) Raffle tickets may be purchased at the Aloft Gallery in Sonora and are available for purchase at the show. You need not be present to win.

This year, the association has added a juried student art show, open to participants up to the age of 18. Students can submit one work, either 2-dimensional or 3-dimensional, in any medium, for free by submitting an entry form by the 18th. Ribbons will be awarded.
