Douglas Flat, CA...Join Slow Food Calaveras on Saturday, September 7th at Chatom Vineyards to celebrate good, clean, & fair food in our area! This is a free event open to anyone in the community. You are invited to a delicious community potluck followed by an inspiring movie, Cafeteria Man, a film about improving school food programs. The Potluck & Wine Social begin at 6:30pm. The film begins at dusk.
Wine by the glass will be available for purchase as well as raffle tickets for a chance to win locally-produced items. Bring a dish to share if you can, but it’s not necessary.
Gardens to Grow In will be on hand to highlight local involvement opportunities and share their efforts in local schools such as the Valley Springs School & Community Garden Project, "Garden Markets," where students sell produce they have grown in the school's garden.
