First Friday in the Park – Bill Welles
First Friday in the Park – Bill Welles
The Murphys Community Club’s popular series of First Fridays in the Park concerts will have its initial 2014 performance on June 13 starting at 5:30 p.m. The featured musician will be Bill Welles. This event is actually scheduled for the second Friday in the month to avoid conflict with the Bret Harte High School graduation. Welles, on guitar, will present a program of “Roots Americana,” predominately acoustic music. He will be joined by Ray Price, on drums, Fred Treece on guitar. During the series, the food hut will be open from 5 to 8 p.m. At each of these programs a specially prepared dinner, with an entree and appropriate side dishes, will be available at $10 per person. Local wines, along with soda and water, will be available to purchase. Val du Vino winery will cater the meal and have their award-wining wines for sale. There is no admission charge.

Murphys Community Park is located on Algiers St. in historic downtown Murphys. For further information go to the web site http://visitmurphys.com/about-murphys/murphys-
