Calaveras Council Of Governments Meeting & Project Discussion Of SR4 & Hwy 49 Improvements

San Andreas, CA...The Calaveras Council of Governments will be hosting a regular meeting on October 5th, 2016. One item on the agenda for discussion are two projects for the improvements of SR4 and Highway 49 as well as the Murphys Grade Road intersection.

Vallecito, CA... I am a property owner in Vallecito (20 years) and have some comments re the increase in rates. Prior lawsuit. Prior boards loss $900,000 in a lawsuit (Mid 90's)that should have never gone to trial. The suing party had been on the Water Board. Shows that the Board has made bad decisions in the past and seems to continue to do so. Salaries: Most recent GM salary was around $200,000. Way out of line for the job. What justifies a salary at that level for a small water company...

San Andreas, CA... A Request For Proposals (RFP) to provide community based support groups addressing mental health has been issued by Calaveras County Behavioral Health Services. Increased access to community based services and reduction of mental illness stigma are the primary goals of the community support groups. Proposals are sought from qualified individuals or organizations for groups in all parts of the county and serving all age groups....

Calaveras County, CA...Update 4/28/11: Michael has received some very generous donations from our viewers! The family is so thankful! "I am so excited for him, what a wonderful opportunity he has before him and with his drive to do the best he can, hopefully he will place during the state competition. He is going to go back to the IGA in Copperopolis again tomorrow with his project to answer questions and share what he has discovered. Hopefully by the end of the day he will have reached his goal , he has a baseball game on Saturday morning" States Michael's Grandmother, Cindi Bent.....Local 8th grader, Michael Legge is headed to the State Science Fair! Michael won 1st place at the Calaveras County Science Fair in his division with his project "Mysterious Bacteria vs. Evil Tobacco." Michael is a student at Mark Twain Elementary and needs our help! Here is a letter from Michael: "Hello my name is Michael Legge and I am an 8th grade student at Mark Twain Elementary School. Mark Twain doesn't require students to do science fair projects but I went out and did one on my own. .....
