Angels Camp, CA...There will be 500 lbs of rainbow trout planted from Tryon Park to the 49 bridge in Angels Creek the week before opening day of trout season. To be exact the planting will consist of 2/3 catchable 1 to 2 pound fish, 1/3 3 to 4 pound fish and three 7 to 10 pound fish.

Jackson, CA... This month’s Amador FlyFishers Members Zoom Meeting on February 16, 2021 at 6:30pm will feature Chris Leonard. He is a teacher at Mammoth High School. His greatest passions are education and fly fishing, making him a choice fly fishing instructor and on-water guide. He guides through Kittredge Sports during the summer, also weekends and holidays during the school year. Rivers and lakes, Tenkara and Western rods in the Mammoth Lakes area of California.

Angels Camp, CA...The Lee Family who are Local fishing royalty did their part to give back to the community and the fishing community as they did their annual fish plant in Angels Creek. This plant should help the next generation of young anglers hone their skills in their local creek. The plant is courtesy of Dennis Lee 72 3rd Generation resident of Angels Camp and his four businesses Lee - Way Construction Inc., New Melones Storage, Murphys Inn Motel, and Murphys Suites. They stocked the Angels Creek with 450 pounds of 2-4 pound fish and 50 pounds of 5 to 10 pound fish.

Arnold, CA...Free Fly Tying Classes. We are having free fly tying classes at our shop on June 30th & July 14th from 10 am until 2 pm. All materials are provided and you will learn to tie 3 different proven fish catching flies. No RSVP is s required, but we would love to know that your coming, so email us at infor@thetroutspot.com.
